Below you will find all our terms and conditions regarding booking our services
1. GENERAL: About us and our services
Our brand Croatian Mediterranean Villas and this website www.croatianmediterraneanvillas.com are property of our company Croatian Mediterranean Villas Ltd. at the address Put Svete Mande 19, 21000 Split , Croatia. (in the text that follows: the Agency, Us/We).
Through this website we provide the services of promoting the accommodation in Croatia and advertising it on the Internet.
We provide these services exclusively on behalf of the owner of the accommodation, i.e. villas and apartments for rent that we advertise and promote on our website only with the permission and on behalf of the owner of the advertised accommodation (in the text that follows: the Owner, owners).
We guarantee quality, accuracy and safety of information as well as authenticity of photos and promotional material for every villa and apartment that we advertise and promote on our website.
The owners of the advertised accommodation on our website are also the sellers of the accommodation, and are therefore completely responsible for the provision of accommodation services.
All the information, texts and photos on our website about the advertised accommodation that we have visited, checked and selected for our website by highest standards are property of our agency, and all the material is used only for the promotion of the owners’ villas and apartments with the authorization and on behalf of the owner of the accommodation, and it cannot be used without our knowledge and authorization for any commercial or non-commercial purposes.
All of the above guarantees total safety to you (the visitors of our website) and to the owners of the advertised accommodation for which you have made an online reservation using this website as an online platform.
We are obliged to immediately notify you, the website visitors (in the text that follows: You, the Guests), of any change or update.
2. ACCOMMODATION PRICES ON OUR WEBSITE
The accommodation prices on our web site are given in Euro per night per property and include:
- Accommodation only. The accommodation service by the owner for the reserved dates in the accommodation as described and presented on our website.
- A reception and a welcome of the owner host
- The stay fee and all the taxes, no extra charge
- Our local support 24/7
- Minimum two sets of linen and two towels per person during your stay
- Free use of air conditioner and other appliances during your stay
- Free WI-FI Internet during your stay
- Housecleaning at the end of your stay
Prices do not include:
- Travel arrangements for guests and acting as an intermediary in case of transfer, travel, package arrangements, trips or transport of guests and luggage which is guests’ responsibility and expense and for which they make arrangements; nor any extra catering service.
- Travel insurance for guests and luggage and acting as an intermediary for insurance (it is strongly recommended that guests get their own travel insurance with their insurance company)
- Concierge and Chef
- Flight costs, and guests and luggage transport arrangements
- “Rent a car” service and acting as an intermediary for car renting
- Visa expense (if visa is necessary) and acquiring one
- Host’s extra services and other attractions at guests’ request
- Beach towel
- Any expense that results from damage, accidents, breakdowns or loss caused by guests during their stay in the accommodation on the reserved dates
- Extra cleaning at guests’ request
- Landline telephone is switched off
Guests are not allowed to use the villa for any commercial purposes or social events and gatherings without the owner’s permission.
3. SECURITY DEPOSIT AND GUESTS RESPONSIBILITY
On the day of their arrival, the guests will leave the owner a €300 deposit, and in return they will get from the owner on the same day a receipt as a guarantee, i.e. compensation in case of damage caused by the guests during their stay which the owner will photograph and make a note of on the day of the guests’ departure as they leave the accommodation. Also, on the day of the guests’ arrival in the accommodation, the owner will collect from the guests all the information on the guests , booking confirmation (voucher) and the valid travel documentation necessary for their stay and check-in at a Tourist Board office.
The total number of guests must not exceed the maximum capacity of the rented property. Otherwise, the owner will not accept additional people or persons whose names are not in the voucher.
If there is not any damage on the day of the guests’ departure, the owner will give them back the total amount of deposit (€300) when the accommodation is inspected during the guests’ departure. In case of damage, if the cost is lower than €300, the owner will take the amount necessary to cover the expense of the damage from the deposit and give back the change to the guest.
If the cost of the damage caused by the guests exceeds the deposit (€300), the owner will compensate for that amount directly from the guests before their departure from the accommodation in agreement with the guests.
Please note that the owners of some properties on our web site ask for higher amount for security deposit what we have highlighted in property descriptions below the prices shown for these villas on our web site.
The guests will stay in the accommodation at their own risk and they will use the villa responsibly and carefully during their stay on the reserved dates, making sure that they leave it clean, tidy and in good shape so that other guests can find it comfortable and safe to use in the future. Neither the owner nor the agency are responsible for any injury or death that may happen to the guests, nor for the damage that they suffer during their stay in the advertised and booked accommodation, no matter whether it was caused by guests’ negligence, fire, theft, criminal activity or an act of God. They are also not responsible if the guests leave the reserved accommodation before the departure date and therefore will not give them back the money.
All problems must be solved in agreement immediately and only during the guests’ stay in the accommodation on the reserved dates, in good faith and in accordance with good business practice.
4. WAYS OF PAYMENT AND BOOKING CONFIRMATION, HOW TO BOOK
In order to make valid your accommodation reservation for which you have sent an email or filled in a book online form on our website, a 30% non-refundable deposit on the total cost of the booking on the reserved dates is necessary immediately after you receive a confirmation email from us for your reservation. When you receive in writing (via email) a confirmation from us of your reservation for the chosen accommodation, your 30% non-refundable deposit makes the reservation valid and completely safe. From the point at which you receive a confirmation of your reservation via email, the 30% deposit on the total cost of the reservation must be made within 72 hours, i.e. 3 work days. In case that after 3 work days (72 hours) payment for deposit is not done please note that your reservation will not be valid and the owners can accept other reservation and booking.
Payments for deposit must be made in EURO only via bank transfer directly to the accommodation owners bank account.
All payment instructions, informations and details of the owners bank account on which you can make a deposit payment will be sent to you immediately by us via email when your reservations is firstly confirmed by owners. Bank costs for the payments are at the guests’ expense.
The remaining 70% of the total cost of the reservation guests have to pay directly to the owner of booked property minimum 40 days before the guests date of arrival on the bank account via bank transfer.
If the reservation for these properties is made within 40 days before the guests arrival date, then in order to make the reservation valid the full sum (100%) of the cost of the accommodation for the reserved dates must be paid via bank transfer in advance on the owners bank account.
The person who pays for the accommodation must be over 18 years old, he/she must read and consciously agree to all of the listed Booking conditions and send all the information, names, address, phone numbers, cell phone numbers, email address and other contact details as well as information about other passengers, their names and age, and state the time of the arrival at the house via email.
Please note that the owners of some properties on our web site ask for higher amount for non refundable deposit to confirm reservation what we have highlighted in property descriptions below the prices shown for these villas on our web site.
5. PAYMENT AND RESERVATION CONFIRMATION AND TOTAL SAFETY OF YOUR PAYMENT, RESERVATION AND YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATIONS
When a reservation is confirmed and a payment is made, for your safety we send you immediately an email with an official confirmation of the reservation with the approval and on behalf of the owner.
Also, as soon as the booking and the payment are made, we send to you by email and if necessary by post to your address:
- A written confirmation for your reservation and your payment (VOUCHER)
- All the information about the owner, villa and other useful information
- Route direction and a map with the location of the villa
All your information is completely protected and we guarantee complete discretion, privacy and strict professionalism.
6. OUR SERVICES FREE OF CHARGE FOR YOU
Our promotional and advertising services for villas and apartments offered online on our website which we do for the owners of the advertised villas and apartments , are only at the owners’ expense based on the Contract that we make with every owner.
We charge only the owner for our services. The owner of the advertised accommodation must pay us for our promotional services, advertising online and the use of our website as an online platform which means that the use of our website is free of charge for you and you do not have any additional expense for our services.
7. THE RANGE OF SERVICES
Our Agency agency provides only the services of accommodation promotion and Internet advertising for the owners of the advertised villas and apartments on our website with the owners’ approval.
The agency will not organise, sell nor act as an intermediary in the selling of any package arrangements, welcoming guests, transfer and transport of guests and luggage, organising trips or guests’ journeys, acting as an intermediary in travel, guests’ travel insurance, car or vessel hire or mediating in hire, acquiring visas for guests, providing any catering services for guests or mediating for guests in any way because GUESTS WILL ORGANISE THIS THEMSELVES and they will travel at their own risk and expense.
Accommodation services, confirmation and acceptance of every reservation as well as accommodation renting are only the owner’s responsibility for the advertised accommodation that is being promoted on our website as an online platform, since the agency cannot dispose of the accommodation that the owner rents
8. ARRIVAL / DEPARTURE, CHECKING INTO AND OUT OF THE ACCOMMODATION
Arrival into and departure from the accommodation usually take place on Saturdays or Sundays depending on the villa presented on our website.
Check-in on the day of the guests’ arrival at the house is from 3 p.m. onwards, and check-out from the accommodation is on the departure day by 9 a.m.
In order to protect the owners of the advertised villas from any possible loss that may result from the reservation cancellation; your paid deposit of 30% of the total cost of reservation is non refundable.
For the guests cancellations:
- More than 40 days before the arrival: the guests forfeit the 30% deposit that they put down on the total cost of the reservation
- 39 to 20 days before the arrival: the guests forfeit 70% of the total sum paid
- 19 to 0 days before the arrival: the guests forfeit 100% of the total sum paid
The guests must immediately advise us in writing via email or post about their cancellation for the confirmed and paid reservations. Your notice of cancellation will only be effective when it is acknowledged in writing by us at our office.
We strongly recommend to you to take your own travel insurance with your insurance company including cover for possible cancellation of your trip. We cannot be held responsible for any problems arising out of the organisation of insurance.
Pets are not allowed during your stay in the accommodation.
However, some of the owners are happy to accept pets what you can always check with us
11. THE LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
Our website www.croatianmediterraneanvillas.com, design, website look and logo, as well as the idea and concept of this website with all the information, data, texts, photos and other material, all of our documentation and contracts, hallmarks are our property only and cannot be used without our permission.
This website, the name of this website and any information on it cannot be misused or copied for any commercial or non-commercial purposes.
All the houses and apartments advertised on our website are licensed and have all the necessary legal documentation for renting and participating in tourism activities by the laws of the Republic of Croatia.
Croatian Mediterranean Villas does business completely in accordance with and by the valid laws of the Republic of Croatia.
Any dispute will be submitted to the laws of the Republic of Croatia and its jurisdiction.
